Canyon of the Eagles

June 26, 2017

Well, I made it to Canyon of the Eagles. I am all set up in site number five. It was a wonderful drive getting here. I decided to take the longer way so I could drive smaller Texas highways. I passed through Fredericksburg and Llano. The last 15 or so miles on highway 690 wound around Lake Buchanan. Beautiful!

I got a little over ambitious putting stabilizer pads under the tongue jack. I couldn't get the trailer level, so I had to hitch it back up and take some of them out. After that everything went smoothly.

I did have one little scare. After being here for about an hour, my power went out. I went out to check and the surge protector had tripped. I'm not sure if the resort lost power, or if the Colby 2.0 actually caused it to trip. I reset it, and everything has been OK since then.
It is very hot here today. I took a walk around to learn the layout of the place. I also learned that it's too hot to hike today. I will either wait till later this evening, or I will go in the morning tomorrow.

I am trying a new thing with pictures. I am taking them directly into a Google Drive folder. I'm sharing the link here. I'm not sure it will work, but it's worth a try.
